Port Washington’s annual ‘Christmas on the corner’ celebration will be held this Saturday, December 1st beginning at 3:00 in the afternoon.  This year’s theme is “Christmas around the world”.  Travel around the world in historic Port Washington.  Just look for the different country flags at participating locations.  Kids will enjoy learning about Christmas and how it’s celebrated in different countries around the World while you stroll through the beautiful, post-card perfect setting in downtown Port Washington. They are also setting the stage for your holidays with live reindeer, Christmas carolers, in-store promotions, a visit from St. Nick, photos with Santa, a living nativity scene, carriage rides and strolling musicians.   But that's not all! At 6:15 the Port Washington Christmas parade begins.  They promise to have lights, floats, and a lot of fun!  After the parade, stick around downtown to watch the only winter fireworks display in the county! Sponsored by the Port Washington Main Street Committee and area businesses including; Port Washington State Bank, Tello's Grille and Cafe, Port Washington Yacht Club, Sharbuno Jewelers and Schmit Bros. Ford/Chrysler/Dodge/Ram/Jeep.
